Localities: Badia Valley
Colfosco - ColfoschAt the entrance to the Gardena Pass, directly overlooked by the impressive massif of the Sella, Colfosco, 1645 m. above sea-level, is the highest resort in the area. Whilst proud of offering avant-garde tourism, it has kept up its appearance as a characteristic and typical mountain village.CorvaraSet in a wide hollow at the foot of the "Sassongher", it represents the "cradle" of tourism in ALTA BADIA.A favourite and popular destination for summer and winter tourism alike, it offers a wide range of accommodation and tourism facilities to meet all requirements. La Valle - La ValLa Valle, the small and quiet village in the heart of the Dolomites, belongs, together with the communities of Corvara and Badia, that are just 9 km far away, to the renowned Alta Badia tourist place. La Valle, La Val in Ladin, is spread on a slope covered by woods and green meadows, at the bottom of the mighty "Monte Croce". The favourable geographic location and the unique environment of La Valle make it the ideal place for a restful vacation in harmony with the nature. The large offer of accomodations gives you the possibility to spend an enjoyable and relaxing stay.La Villa - La IlaIt has become famous since the "Gran Risa" ski-run is one of the World Cup ski races and for ten years now has been at the centre of international attention. It continues to be a leading resort and reference in the whole area.
Pedraces - S. LeonardoLocated in a quiet area and characterized by the suggestive landscape offered by the splendid massif of Santa Croce, it has only been linked to the rest of the skiing area and consequently to the Sella Ronda, for a few years, thanks to the creation of new ski- and chair-lifts.S. Cassiano - San CiascianLocated on the border of the delightful "Armentarola" area where the ski-run of the same name, which starts from Lagazoi, emerges in all its wild beauty. Most of the 4-star hotels are here and from the afternoon, the village centre becomes a pedestrian area closed to traffic.S. Martino in BadiaSan Martino in Badia (1,127 m), Antermoia (1,515 m) and Longiarù (1,396 m): are three fascinating villages located in a wonderful mountain valley in Val Badia and surrounded by the Dolomites. There is a reason why San Martino is called the cradle of ladin culture. The Ladin Institute "Micurà de Rü" and the Ladin Museum "Ciastel de Tor" (Museum Ladin) are based in this village. Here you will have the chance to get to know the Ladins, their culture and their culinary specialities.
We also recommend a visit to Longiarù in order to get to know more about the life and the culture of the ladin farmers. Longiarù is one of the few villages where the rural and natural aspect of the village has been preserved. For skiers we recommend a trip to Antermoia. You will find a small skiing centre, ideal for families, and a toboggan run from the Erbe mountain Pass to the village. S. Vigilio di MarebbeA beautiful village at 1200 m above sea level in a long valley surrounded by the Dolomites and nestled neatly amongst wonderful landscape. Around the village you can find protected areas like Fanes, Sennes and Braies. The landscape is completed by the townlands Rina, Longega and Pieve and their rare farms.
WEBCAM Pieve di MarebbePieve di Marebbe is located 4 km from S. Vigilio at the hillside of Plan de Corones. Here you can find the oldest church in the Badia Valley. The church was first mentioned in a document dating back to 1018. The population is mainly involved in the agricultural sector.RinaThis village is situated 3 km from Longega on the sunny hillside of the Col dla Vedla. Rina is famous for its extraordinary panoramic view. |
