Localities: Paganella Plateau
MolvenoHuman presence along the banks of the lake has been a certainty since prehistory. The complete drainage of the lake in 1951 revealed unmistakable traces of a group village of modest size. The discovered furnishings gave, with precision, the era and approximate date the lake was formed (roughly around 1000 B.C. as a result of a landslide of gigantic proportions that blocked a path of water).

Fai della PaganellaAt Fai della Paganella settled populations of ancient origin beginning with the "Reti" were followed by the Romans and the Longobards. The marks left behind by the Reti are testimony to the remains of a village discovered in the "Doss Castel" area. Actual findings are conserved in Trento at the "Laboratorio Restauro Archeologico della Provincia Autonoma di Trento". Since World War II, the town’s economy is based almost exclusively on tourism.

Andalo Around the XII° century Andalo belonged to the "Gastalida del Banale", and it was actually from this part of the "Giudicarie" where they probably reached the first colonies of Andalo. In 1900, the economy was primarily based on agriculture and the breeding of livestock. After forest products, these two natural resources constituted the main wealth of the town; then in 1930 acqueducts, electrical power, and light were introduced, and thus opened the first commercial and tourist activities.
