Horse ridingA thrilling vacation on horseback among the Lagorai mountainsRoutes, services and events in a valley which offers a wonderful natural environment, at the feet of the Dolomites and with a tried and true connection with the world of horses. This guide to Val di Fiemme on horseback is the result of a passion shared by many operators and local horse lovers, convinced that this “four-legged” tourism is an excellent way of meeting the expectations of visitors who are looking for and appreciate the values of a vacation in the quest for nature and a tourism which intends defending and promoting an enviable environmental heritage. The origin of the valley’s passion for riding sports is the “10 days of gymkhanas” a hurdles event held in Predazzo, which is now at its 28th edition, joined over the years by other events which have contributed to the development of a series of facilities, services and professional activities all tied to this world. “In the saddle in Lagorai” proposes nine routes which are principally located in the Lagorai group, the longest mountain chain in Trentino: an environment which still remains uncontaminated representing the southeast slope of Val di Fiemme, shared on the opposite slope with the area of Tesino, in the eastern Valsugana. Two longer routes reach the crest, while a separate map shows the two routes which connect Val di Fiemme with Borgo Valsugana and Castello Tesino.
