Localities: Val di Fiemme
Bellamonte - PaneveggioThis locality is a rural district of the Commune of Predazzo and is situated along the Travignolo valley. It stretches across a plateau overlooked by the Pale di San Martino and the Lagorai chain. Bellamonte is a winter tourist resort thanks to its ski-lifts and slopes near the Bellamonte Alpe di Lusia and cross-country tracks. In summer Bellamonte attracts numerous tourists as it constitutes the starting point of paths and routes in the Paneveggio Park and to the surrounding mountains.

CaprianaCapriana (pop. 550) is situated in the south-western corner of Valle di Fiemme, on the border with Val di Cembra, and lies on a hillside with a beautiful view. Tourists visiting Capriana are young and increasing in number.
Carano - VeronzaA classical alpine village situated on a natural terrace over looking the valley. From here it is possible to start on one of the many excursions and walks. Its disposition to tourism is deeply rooted but at the same time modern. Carano has a population of 900 inhabitants.
Castello di FiemmeThe town has a population of almost 2,000 inhabitants and is made up of two rural districtswhich are 2 km away from each other. The rural district of Castello still keeps its original town centre architecturally intact and at the same time offers good tourist accommodation and infrastructures.
CavaleseCavalese is the chief town of Val di Fiemme with its 3,600 inhabitants. It stretches across a fluvial and glacial terrace whichslopes slightly where the valley reaches its maximum width. Cavalese is where district-services (like the hospital for example)and the offices of the valley are located. In winter it can offer itsvisitors numerous ski-lifts, especially in the skiing area of Alpe Cermis, as well as cross-country skiing at the bottom of the valley and in Lavazè Pass. Summer visitors are offered a wide range of excursions and of walks. There are also other sports activities and organized cultural and social events. The old and artistic Bishop's Palace, which is the official seat to the Magnificent General Community of Fiemme, is worth visiting.

DaianoA typical village of Valle di Fiemme situated on the road to Lavazè Pass, up river Cavalese. Daiano is the sunniest town of the valley. Just like other near by towns, Daiano is not far from areas equipped for alpine and Nordic skiing nor from areas famous for summer excursions. The town has a population of 625 inhabitants.

MolinaSituated on the bank of the Avisio stream, Molina was once famous for its mills, of which there are now no traces. Nowadays it can offer its nature, numerous excursions on the Lagorai slope and, in winter, the possibility to practise cross-country skiing thanks to it track which in January links to other tracks in the valley.
Pampeago - TeseroTesero is situated in the middle of the valley. It has 2,500 inhabitants and is a good tourist resort thanks to its position between the Ski Centre of Lake Tesero 900 m above sea-level (where the World Championship of Nordic Skiing took place and where the next 2003 World Championship of Nordic Skiing will be held) and the big skiing area of Alpe di Pampeago 1,757m above sea-level. The latter, together with the slopes and ski-lifts of Predazzo and Obereggen constitute the Latemar Ski Centre. Tesero offers several alternatives for summer tourism, particularly regarding hiking. It is also well-known as a handcraft centre and for its small industries, as well as for its activities in exploiting local traditions.
PanchiàPanchià has 635 inhabitants and is situated along the central axis of the valley between Tesero and Ziano di Fiemme, at the foot of the Cornon massif and Mount Agnello. It is a typical mountain town, only a few kilometres away from important alpine and Nordic ski centres and from interesting hiking destinations.
Passo Lavazè - VarenaVarena is nicely situated at the foot of Corno Nero and its population is of 780 inhabitants. It is one of the most ancientinhabited centres in Trentino. The plateau of Lavazè Pass,10 km from Varena, has a beautiful landscape and therefore has an important tourist role. It is a real paradise to those who practise Nordic skiing with its 50 km of tracks but also thanks to its ski lifts and slopes for down-hill skiing. In summer Varena is a good starting point for walks and mountain-bike excursions, also in the nearby territory of the province of Bolzano.

PredazzoSituated in the north-eastern corner of the valley at the confluence of the Avisio and the Travignolo streams, Predazzo isthe most highly populated centre of the valley with its nearly 4,100 inhabitants. Numerous are the possible recreational activities available: hiking in summer; alpine skiing (Latemar and Bellamonte Ski Centres - Alpe di Lusia) and Nordic skiing inwinter. Predazzo also offers occasions for fun and cultural experiences.

VaflorianaThe peculiarity of Valfloriana, with its 577 inhabitants,is that the town is made up of ten small villages spread along the extreme south west of the Val di Fiemme to the left of the Avisio. As with Capriana, Valfloriana also has great prospects in the tourist industry.
Ziano di FiemmeMade up of the more recent nucleus of Ziano and of the rural districts of Zanon, Roda, Bosin and Zanolin, Zianois located on the alluvial plain of the Avisio stream. Froma tourist point of view Ziano can count on its ski lifts and cross-country skiing tracks situated right in town. Ziano is also rich in summer hiking routes and paths on the Lagorai slope. Ziano has approximately 1,370 inhabitants.
