Welcome to the Fiemme Valley (Val di Fiemme) The Fiemme Valley stretches for 35 kilometres in the north east of Trentino, along the Avisio river, and nestling in its heart are fifteen typical villages, each with its own special and unique characteristics. The Lagorai mountain chain, the Pale di San Martino and the Latemar group have attracted tourists from every part of the world for almost two centuries.
The Paneveggio and Mount Corno Natural Parks enrich the unique and magnificent landscape of this valley, covered by over 20,000 hectares of fir trees and larches, woodlands crossed by over 200 kilometres of forest paths, ideal for mountain biking. Look out for the resounding red spruces, whose wood Stradivarius used for his incomparable violins.
The Fiemme Valley also means 150 km of cross country ski tracks, 140 km of alpine ski slopes, accommodation for 35,000 visitors, and a complete range of services for tourists. And more: sports events - in particular the Marcialonga, famous throughout the world -, cultural and musical events, wine and gastronomy itineraries, craftsmanship, museums, and a rich historic and architectonic heritage of both a religious and lay character. Of undoubted fascination are the frescoes that decorate the facades of the typical Fiemme Valley houses, amidst which some beautiful historic-artistic itineraries wind.
