Winter sports: Rosengarten-Latemar

SkiingThe ski resort is located at 1,550 – 2,500 m and offers 17 modern lifts. Currently, 30,000 people can be transported per hour. There are slopes for everyone, whether you look for difficult or easier slopes. In order to make sure that all slopes are groomed perfectly this season as is usual, one of the best computer-controlled artificial snow facilities is in use. 10 huts on the slopes provide for your physical well-being, four of which can also be reached by foot. Those who do not yet feel safe on skis, can count on the help of three ski and snowboard schools.
Cross-Country SkiingJust like alpine skiers, cross-country skiers can also find everything they long for in the D’Ega Valley. Those who love Nordic skiing can make use of 100 km of the best groomed tracks between D’Ega Valley, Regglberg and the Fiemme Valley. Ideal starting points for cross-country skiers are the idyllic villages of Nova Ponente (1,350 m), in a sunny location with a neat village centre and isolated farms between meadows and forests, and Monte S. Pietro at 1,380 m, located below the famous place of pilgrimage Madonna di Pietralba. From here the low mountain range plateau extends, which justifiably deserves to be called one of the most beautiful cross-country areas in the Dolomites.
Queen of the Night…Only a few minutes from Bolzano you can find one of the most beautiful flood-lit night slopes in South Tyrol. Those who love tobogganing in the dark, almost became addicted to the moon within the last few years, since this popular toboggan run in Obereggen could only be used with full-moon light. The toboggan run and the famous „Oberholz“ slope were provided with an amazing 340 kw and 200 Lx of flood-light each. This adventure can be experienced three times per week: every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evening from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
