Localities: Rosengarten LatemarNova LevanteNova Levante (1,182 m): A village, 7 km long, located in a gently ascending and long forestry valley at the western end of the Dolomites. It is the main village of the municipality of the same name, which numbers 1,700 inhabitants and consists of a perimeter of 50.4 km².
Nova Ponente - ObereggenThe vast plateau at the bottom of the Latemar and the D’Ega Valley mountains is a forest area, which falls steeply to the D’Adige Valley at the West, only interrupted by some deep valleys.The village community of Nova Ponente with its 3,400 inhabitants is located on this extensive plateau. The village communities of Nova Ponente (1,900 inhabitants, 1,350 m), Ega (900 inhabitants, 1,120 m) with Obereggen (1,550 m), Ponte Nova (870 m) and Novale (1,280 m), and Monte S. Pietro (600 inhabitants, 1,380 m) with the place of pilgrimage Madonno di Pietralba (1,520 m) are all loosely scattered. CollepietraCollepietra lies at 830 m above sea level. This quiet mountain village is only 13 km from the city of Bolzano, but lies 500 m higher than South Tyrol’s main city. TiresTires at the Cattinaccio (1,028 m): small traditional mountaineerers village in the Tires Valley below the Sciliar and Cattinaccio mountains with 840 inhabitants.The Tires Valley extends parallel to the Gardena and Ega Valleys from the Isarco River to the Cattinaccio Mountain Chain. The entire area of the Tires municipality consists of 4,208 ha. The area consists primarily of forests, meadows and mountains, 20% of which are situated in the Sciliar Natural Park.
